UC Irvine Health Installation

As I walked into San Joaquin Marsh on a late summer afternoon, I was immediately captivated by the tranquility and openness of the landscape. The vast expanse of marsh grass stretched endlessly, with the horizon lines forming parallel bands that seemed to go on forever. The sharp reflections in the water echoed these lines, while distant trees and hills added layers of depth. Together, they created a visual staff, as if the entire scene were composed of musical notes. As the sun began to set, flocks of birds took flight, soaring across the sky in perfect synchrony. Their movements and rhythmic, resembled a dance, each group following its own beat. The merging of the glowing sunset and the chorus of birds' calls was a perfect symphony of nature. In my painting, I aim to capture this harmony—the seamless blend of art and the natural world.
